Windows says the launcher is unsafe?
The launcher is built and signed by Mordred DAoC. New indie launchers often trigger a one-time SmartScreen warning until Microsoft builds trust for the publisher certificate.

Requirements
- Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
- An existing Dark Age of Camelot 1.65 client folder
- Mordred Launcher from one of the buttons above
- The 32-bit Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 redistributable if your client does not already have it
- A stable internet connection for login and launcher update checks
Launcher Options
Use the Download Installer button for the normal Windows setup flow with shortcuts and uninstall support. Use Download Standalone if you want a portable zip you can extract and run directly.
The launcher does not include the game client. Open Settings in the launcher and choose
the folder that already contains your DAoC 1.65 client files, including connect.exe.
Getting Started
- Download either the installer or the standalone zip.
- Run Mordred Launcher.
- In launcher Settings, set the client folder to your existing DAoC 1.65 client.
- Pick a username and password on the PLAY screen. Your account is created on first login.
- Click Enter.
